Volunteers
often receive recognition from the organizations they
serve. In addition, RSVP-VP recognizes volunteers in
four ways:
- 75th
Birthday Party.
A party for all RSVP volunteers who are 80 and
older. Lunch, entertainment, socialization and
individual photos commemorating the event. Supported
by the Peninsula Rotary Club.
- RSVP-VP
Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.
All active RSVP volunteers are invited to lunch at a
local hotel. A brief program blends with good food,
good company and door prizes to make a nice
highlight to the volunteer year.
- Outstanding
Volunteer Service Recognition.
Recognition of volunteers providing 400 or more
hours of service during the preceding year. An
informal lunch event with individual recognition of
hours and organizations served. Sponsored by Old Point National Bank.
- Other
individual volunteer accomplishments are recognized
in the RSVP-VP Newsletter and the Volunteer Update
publications sent to all volunteers and donors.
