AIRCRAFT SAFETY
  • Safety Briefing
    • Look at passenger safety information provided in the seat pocket in front of you.
    • Find where the emergency exits are located.
    • Count the seats between you and at least two exits.

  • Seatbelt Safety
    • Keep your seatbelt fastened at all times.
    • Make sure the seatbelt is fastened snuggly and low across the hips.

  • Baggage Safety
    • Airlines usually restrict carry-on luggage to two bags per passenger.
    • Carry-on bags should be small enough to fit in the overhead department. DO NOT over stuffed the overhead compartment.
    • Place heavy luggage underneath seat.
    • Make sure your luggage has your current address on the outside of the luggage as well as the inside.
    • Make sure all luggage is locked
    • Carry all valuable items in your carry on luggage. (Airline tickets, money, passports, camera equipment or jewelry.
    • If you have a lot of valuables with you, you may want to get additional liability insurance on your luggage available at the airport.

  • Hazardous Material Safety
    There are Hazardous items that are not permitted to transport on the airlines.
    • Mace
    • Aerosol (hairspray, deodorants)
    • Loaded firearms
    • Loose ammunition
    • Gasoline
    • Propane, butane refills or lighter refills
    • Fireworks & Flares
    • Safety or strike anywhere matches
    • Paint Thinners & Cleaners
    • Small knives over 4 inches long.

CLOTHING

  • Wear clothes that are loose not constricting.
  • Make sure they are made of natural materials (Cotton, Denim, Wool or Leather. Synthetics may melt when under heat.
  • Long Sleeves & pants are recommended. Covering the whole body.
  • Low heel shoes, ones with laces preferable. No scandals.

Medication

  • Have note from doctor explaining any medical condition you may have.
  • Carry copies of you medicine and eyeglass prescriptions.
  • Don’t pack you medication; carry it with you.

Fire Safety

  • Place wet napkin or handkerchief of nose and mouth
  • Stay as far away from the fire as you can.
  • Stay low.
