To become an RSVP volunteer, fill out the Volunteer Registration Form and Areas of Volunteer Interest form on this website, print it out the forms and send them to us by mail or by fax. You can also visit our office to get the forms or contact us by phone, fax or e-mail to get forms sent to you. A Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to discuss your specific situation and interests. If you do not already have volunteer station (place) chosen, we will recommend alternatives. Once you have selected a station, we will contact station staff who will contact you about the details of your volunteering. Each station has a responsibility to train you for your volunteer work, to give you supervision and to limit your volunteering to the tasks assigned unless there is prior agreement with you and notification to our office. Either station staff or you will report volunteer hours to us monthly. We encourage volunteering at multiple stations if you have multiple interests. You may add or change volunteer station(s), but we do need to be notified. We want to work with you and the station staff if there are any problems.

We will provide orientation by phone or in person and by mailed information. Mailed materials will include an RSVP Volunteer Handbook and information on common senior citizen safety concerns. Other information is contained in the RSVP newsletter, update mailings and presentations at senior special events. When applicable, we ask you to share the information you receive with other seniors and retired persons, both at your volunteer station(s) and in your personal life. As a volunteer and as a community member, we ask you to help us with our role as an advocate for quality of life issues affecting persons 55 and older. For further information, contact us.
